Local Outreach

Crawfish Creek Energy Storage is being developed with a focus on meeting the needs of the TVA grid and the customers it serves. We are committed to working with Jackson County and  keeping immediate neighbors informed as we continue project development and begin construction.

Community Benefits

The Crawfish Creek Energy Storage facility will be a good neighbor and a valuable asset to the surrounding community for decades to come. The project will provide necessary electricity capacity to the region with no air polluting emissions. As a static facility with insignificant traffic and minimal municipal services, the Crawfish Creek facility will have little impact on neighbors. Significant project benefits to the community include:

  • High-paying construction jobs and economic activity during the construction phase (50 to 100)

  • Stable, skilled operations roles (approximately 3 to 5)

  • Enhanced electric grid resiliency from a new, state-of-the-art power resource, which supports local economic development

  • Expanded property tax base for Jackson County
